What's new in the Peterson Family

Well I took Lisa's advice and created a family blog. Now if you're interested in what's going on with our family you can just read to find out. This will be good for me because I am terrible at writing in my journal. Now at least i'll have something to look back on for now. I really do need to start recording more of my life so I don't regret it later.
So all of you know we are living in Sherwood Park, Alberta which is basically Edmonton. We just bought our first home that we love so much!! Sherwood Park has been very good for us especially our little Kaydance. Kaydance was born with some special needs so it has been a different experience but a very good one. She is our sweet little angel and we love her just the way she is. She is generally a very happy little girl and she loves to cuddle and give hugs. Her new thing is spitting lately but it is actually kind of funny. Kaydance is 2 1/2 yrs old and is receiving amazing medical care here. We feel very blessed. She just received a Developmental Aide who we love. She comes 4 times a week and works with Kaydance and plays with Rylen so he doesn't feel left out. Kaydance and Rylen love it and love her. On Monday Kaydance and Rylen go to a music class. On Tuesdays we stay home and do physio with her D.A, on Wednesdays Kaydance has her 123 Go Program which is basically like a pre-school with kids that are behind. Rylen and I go to a parent group for half of it and stay in the class room for the other half. On Thursdays we go to a play group and on Friday's and Saturdays we go swimming. We just got a family pass to a recreation center so it has been a lot of fun.
Rylen is now 9 1/2 mths old. He is so fun and we feel so blessed to have a healthy boy. He loves his sister and she loves him. He does a lot of imitating so that has been funny for us. He says Mama, Dada, hi, and other things that he understands and we love hearing. He is very vocal. He can now stand at things and hold on with now even one hand. He is almost as big as his sister which is crazy. He is our little butterball turkey. We love having him and cannot believe the joy he brings to our lives.
I am now selling Mary Kay which I am loving! It gives me a chance to make some easy money and get out and do something just for me. I have been sewing a little, making curtains, and I have been trying to decorate our house. I love scrapbooking which I never get around to anymore. I just finished reading the Twilight Series Books which are soooo good!! I have been wanting to get back on a work-out program and I still plan on it.This month a will be starting a cardio salsa class that I am very excited for. After having Rylen it was a very rough recovery. I laboured for 48hrs and I was enduced to start off with with cervidel, which did not work, then by a catheter syringe that they filled up with water to dilate me to a 3. It was very painful but it was worth it. They then started me on a drip when I was finally dilated. After pushing for 2 hrs they decided that they would have to do a forceps delivery to get him out. So I had an episiotomy after the third degree tears and then they did the forceps. It was an amazing painful experience that I loved since Kaydance was a emergency c-section.I was so happy that I was able to do a vbac. A week after Rylen was born my stitches opened up so I took about 3 months to fully heal. I am so glad that I have Rylen though!!
Jacob has been very busy with work. My dad took on a new business so Jacob has been doing that with my dad. Jacob is very talented and can pick up things quick so he has become quite the handy man. It's nice!! He graduated in 06 but just isn't sure if he wants to go back to school or not. He has been working on an internet marketing business which could potentially do very well so we are excited about that. It would be nice if he could work less and spend more time at home and still make enough money for our family. Rylen and Kaydance and of course myself love it when he's home. He is such a good Daddy and husband!
This month has been a busy one. We were in Utah for Christmas this year with Jacob's family. We drove there and back. Jacob decided that he wanted to drive straight through so we ended up doing it all through the night. Jacob drove almost the whole way there. I am still not sure how he did it. Jacob's parents had Santa come to the house on Christmas Eve which all of the kiddies loved!! Rylen thought that Santa was pretty interesting from the expression on his face. All of the grandkids did a nativity and Rylen played baby Jesus and Kaydance was a cat. They were both very cute!! They both loved every minute of spending time with family especially all of their cousins. We had a good time!! After a long drive home we through a surprise anniversary party for my parents. That was fun and we had a little Christmas with just my side of the family since everyone was here. On New Years Eve we had our yearly fondue and celebrated Sanjay's 30th birthday. Christmas and New Years were a lot of fun this year. We feel very lucky for everything that we have. Well that sums up or life in a few paragraphs.

Cool blog girl!! I love it! See isn't it fun?! I'm adding you as a friend to my blog so, I can connect to yours easier. Let me know if you need any help with this. I had to ask my friend a bunch of questions about it cuz I'm so computer illiterate! Well, I love the cute pic with Santa. -Love, Lisa

HEY! I found this link from a link from your facebook (I know I'm creepy). I am always looking out for other friends that blog because it is such a good way to keep in touch. And so now I know what you are up to. I didn't remember all of your labor trauma! ouch! but we did a VBAC too and it was AWSOME! I'm very happy for you-even with they pain.
I love you! I wish you were closer. Maybe you should take a trip to Chicago, or Nauvoo. I bet you could find a free place to stay...
Okay, I think this comment is long enough!
